The Department of Legislature is pleased to announce the winners of its recent art exhibition, From Canvas to Legacy: Celebrating Parliament Through Art, held as part of its ongoing public engagement initiative to honour the legacy of Parliament through creative expression.
The exhibition, which featured outstanding submissions in both the Adults and Children’s categories, highlighted the rich talent and artistic interpretation of parliamentary themes across generations.
Adult Category Winners:
- 1st Place – Allen Mullings – Prize: EC$500 sponsored by the Bank of Montserrat Artwork: Portrait of Robert W. Griffith, one of Montserrat’s oldest Parliamentarians.

- 2nd Place – Jerome Meade – Prize: EC$250 gift certificate from the Department of Legislature. Additional: Flash drive provided by the ICT Department, Ministry of BUILT, and Ecclesiastical Affairs.

- 3rd Place – Dilys Allen-Weekes – Prize: EC$200 gift certificate from the Department of Legislature. Additional: Flash drive provided by the ICT department, Ministry of BUILT, and Ecclesiastical Affairs

Children’s Category Winners:
- 1st Place – Elias Lee – Prize: EC$300 sponsored by BBC Radio & TV Ltd. Additional: Tablet provided by the ICT Department, Ministry of BUILT and Ecclesiastical Affairs. Artwork: Portrait of Edward Theophilus Edgecombe, one of Montserrat’s oldest Parliamentarians.

- 2nd Place – Chase Hobson-Gibbons – Prize: EC$150 gift certificate from the Department of Legislature. Additional: Painting sets from M. S. Osborne Ltd.

- 3rd Place – Fijonye Meade-Ryan – Prize: EC$100 gift certificate from the Department of Legislature. Additional: Painting sets from M. S. Osborne Ltd.
