The Montserrat Legislative Assembly is pleased to announce “From Canvas to Legacy: Celebrating Parliament Through Art,” an open art competition inviting students and adults across the island to capture the spirit of our parliamentary heritage. Participants are challenged to create a portrait of any Montserrat parliamentarian who has served from 1952 to the present day, using one of six art forms: drawing, painting, paper-maché, laser etching, 3D printing, or carving.
Submissions will be accepted through 25th June 2025, and entrants are encouraged to register now. Special prizes will be awarded to the youngest artist and to the individual who portrays the oldest-serving parliamentarian.
