The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) has released the Concluding Statement from the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC), which took place in Bridgetown, Barbados, from 5–12 October 2025 under the theme “The Commonwealth: A Global Partner.”
The conference brought together over 500 Parliamentarians and parliamentary officials from across the Commonwealth, including representatives from the Caribbean, Americas, and Atlantic Region. Discussions centred on strengthening democracy, leveraging digital transformation, promoting gender equality, and tackling the global challenges of climate change and governance.
The event also featured the 41st CPA Small Branches Conference, the 9th Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference, and the meetings of the Commonwealth Parliamentarians with Disabilities (CPwD) network, providing a platform for collaboration and dialogue among legislatures of all sizes.
The Concluding Statement, issued by the CPA Headquarters Secretariat, summarises the key outcomes and workshop discussions from the week-long conference.
